DEALING WITH STRANGE ATTRACTIONS AFTER MARRIAGE 3

24 January 2026  ·  2 min read  ·  0comments

She asked her husband, “What were you thinking when you were committing all this nonsense? Did you think of me? Did you think about our family?” The repentant man did not know what to say. He then said, “I was not thinking”.

Before you get to a point where your thinking is hijacked by your emotions, programme yourself to last. Think about the consequences of the slope you are walking on. Let me help with some:

• You are reduced to nothing. Think about a crumb of bread. What is the worth?

Proverbs 6:26 KJV

[26] For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: And the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.

You lose the ability to make progress- you burn your feet. It is like walking on coals. Your progress is hindered. Great men tell you that adultery is one of the things to run away from if you will build anything that will last.

Proverbs 6:28-29 KJV

[28] Can one go upon hot coals, And his feet not be burned? [29] So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; Whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent.

It is foolishness. It destroys your soul. Your soul becomes weakened. You fall cheaply.

Proverbs 6:32 KJV

[32]  But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: He that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

• You wound yourself and lose honour.

Proverbs 6:33 KJV

[33] A wound and dishonour shall he get; And his reproach shall not be wiped away.

• You get into a trap that becomes hard to come out of

Proverbs 23:27 KJV

[27] For a whore is a deep ditch; And a strange woman is a narrow pit.

Ask yourself now: Is it worth it?
